Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tataio Suega (ranked 4285 p4p, 3914 weight class) and Takashi Minoko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Tataio Suega has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tataio Suega! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takashi Minoko! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Konstantin Menshow and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Minoko shoots for a double leg takedown but Suega sprawls well. He's pushed Minoko's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Suega throws an overhand right that lands on Minoko's shoulder, as Minoko tries to avoid the shot. Minoko closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Minoko lands in his opponent's guard. Minoko slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Minoko is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Minoko slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Minoko slips nicely into half guard. Minoko is looking for a kimura but Suega is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Minoko to get the leverage. Minoko is figuring out what he wants to do next. Minoko is working for a kimura but Suega is defending it quite comfortably.
Minoko frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Minoko trying to control but Suega is having none of it. Minoko working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Minoko controlling from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Minoko has hold of Suega's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Suega manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Minoko takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Minoko landing strikes from the mount and Suega is in trouble! Minoko landing shots from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Minoko landing punches. Suega is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Minoko controlling from the full mount. Minoko lands a big elbow. Minoko controlling the pace for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Minoko is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Suega is in real trouble.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Takashi Minoko dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Minoko gets a takedown into half guard. Minoko with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Minoko escapes and gets back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Minoko walks into a stiff left hand from Suega.
It looks like Takashi Minoko has been cut. Suega gets tackled into the cage by Minoko. Minoko maintains the clinch. Suega gets underhooks to prevent Minoko's takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suega tries to stall but Minoko uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Suega swings wildly with an uppercut but Minoko uses good head movement to avoid it. Suega is pushing Minoko up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Minoko is trying to pull guard but Suega has him pressed against the cage. Minoko blocks an uppercut.

Tataio Suega has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Takashi Minoko. Suega tries to stall but Minoko uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Suega lands with a left to the head. Suega looking to slow down the pace here. Suega stalling in the clinch but Minoko improves position. Suega lands a left hand that snaps the head of Minoko backwards. Suega throws a punch but it's blocked by Minoko.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Suega looking to stall.
Suega lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Minoko or not. Minoko tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Suega just stands there and leans against the cage. Nice body punch from Suega. Minoko prevents a body shot from Suega. Minoko fails to pull guard.

Suega misses with a hook to the ribs.
Suega working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Suega is looking to control Minoko's arms but Minoko gets an underhook and turns him. Now Suega has his back to the cage. Suega lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Minoko backwards. Minoko wants to break free but Suega has control.
Both fighters working to control the clinch. Minoko drops down looking for an ankle pick but Suega pulls his leg out and moves away.
Minoko is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Minoko shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Minoko showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Suega.
Suega tries to clinch there but Minoko circles away.
Suega scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Suega misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Minoko.
A telegraphed right hand from Suega misses the target. Minoko is looking for the big counter here. Suega fails with an attempt to clinch.
Minoko wants to counter with a clinch but Suega pushes him away. Suega throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Minoko looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. A jab from Suega misses. Suega takes a swing at Minoko's ribcage but misses. Suega misses with a few strikes there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Minoko tries for a takedown but Suega sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Suega appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Suega swings and misses with a shot to the body and Minoko counters with a single leg into guard. Suega didn't expect that. This has been an exciting period of action! Minoko with a flurry of punches that miss. Minoko throwing strikes but missing. Suega knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Minoko on the ground. Suega is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Minoko stands and steps away. Suega gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. A looping hook to the body misses from Suega. Minoko does a little dance to reset his feet. Minoko ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tataio Suega dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Takashi Minoko's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round! Suega swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Minoko shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Suega as he avoids it easily. Suega pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Minoko shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Suega defends it nicely. Minoko keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A jab from Suega misses. Suega backing away here, and Minoko unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Minoko shoots for a takedown but Suega saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Tataio Suega has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Takashi Minoko. Suega thows a left - swing and a miss! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Minoko avoids the body shot from Suega.
Minoko lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Suega tries to clinch but Minoko is having none of it. Minoko drives through and clinches with Suega against the cage.
Minoko tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Suega just stands there and leans against the cage. Minoko pulls Suega into guard.
Minoko takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Minoko is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Takashi Minoko has got the better of the ground game so far. Suega wants to stand but Minoko has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Minoko trying to hold on to Suega's head to control him but Suega postures up.
Minoko moves into full guard.
Suega wants to stand and escape but instead Minoko has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Minoko gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Tataio Suega is winning the standup battle so far. Nice defenses there by Minoko. Suega swings widly with a right hand
and Minoko counters with a two punch combo. Minoko bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The strikes coming from Minoko are missing the target in this wave of attacks. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Minoko advances nicely into full mount. Minoko content just to control the position here. Suega taking shots to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Minoko misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The referee warns Suega that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Minoko wants to control the pace but Suega is squirming around nicely. Minoko looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Minoko has control of Suega's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Suega regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Minoko controlling from the full mount. Minoko is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Suega has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Minoko is working for a guillotine from mount but Suega frees his head quite easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Takashi Minoko comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Minoko has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
