Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vinny Griggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Terrell Knight!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yuuki Gou and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight throws a hook but Griggs avoids it easily.
Terrell Knight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Griggs looks to land a left hand but Knight moved out of range nicely.
Knight has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Griggs finds it's way round the side to connect with Knight's head.
Knight looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Knight throws a big shot that misses.
Griggs definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Knight misses with a jab to the body
and Griggs counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Knight throws a good cross that connects.
Knight lands with a good body shot.
A big left from Griggs misses.
Knight scores with a hook.
Griggs bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Knight blocks a jab.
Griggs moves out of range of the strikes.
Griggs is looking to counter punch.
A combination from Griggs does no damage.

Knight uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Griggs.
Griggs lands a left and a right that send Knight crashing to the mat, dazed. Griggs thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Knight is rocked!
Knight throws an overhand right that lands on Griggs's shoulder, as Griggs tries to avoid the shot.
Griggs seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Knight is still on wobbly legs! Can Griggs finish him?
A decent looking cross lands there for Knight.
Griggs staying out of range there.
Knight showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Griggs.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Knight! But no joy.
Knight seems to have recovered his senses.
Vinny Griggs is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Knight lunges at Griggs with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Griggs's hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Knight changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Griggs looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Knight is putting a hurting on Griggs here, landing some big shots from side control.
Griggs is looking to reverse the position.
Knight staying calm.

Griggs can't do much from the bottom here.
Griggs is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Knight lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Griggs down.

Knight lands a big shot there that rocks Griggs but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Griggs is rocked!
Knight postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Griggs badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Knight around the waist but Knight pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Knight is the winner by TKO! Knight jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Terrell Knight!
After the fight, Terrell Knight was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
