Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Riley Kerestes!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kerestes clinches.
Wallace tries a knee to the head but Kerestes blocks it.
Kerestes tries for a takedown but Wallace manages to get underhooks.
Wallace prevents a takedown attempt there.
Kerestes tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Josh Wallace has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Riley Kerestes.

Wallace breaks from the clinch.
Kerestes throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Wallace rushes Kerestes and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Kerestes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kerestes blocks a jab.
Wallace misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kerestes lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Kerestes throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Wallace lands a jab-cross combination.
Wallace lands a nice shot to the body.

Wallace moves into the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Wallace manages to break the clinch.
Wallace wants to clinch
and Kerestes counters with a straight right hand.
A slapping body kick lands there for Wallace.
Kerestes shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wallace as he jumps to the side.
Wallace sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wallace swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Kerestes counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wallace won't be happy with that.
Kerestes looks gassed!

Kerestes decides to stand back up. Kerestes steps back and let's Wallace get back to his feet.
Kerestes walks into a straight right hand from Wallace.
Nice straight punches there by Wallace. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Wallace.
Kerestes fails with a takedown attempt.
Nice cross by Wallace.
Wallace works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Josh Wallace is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wallace misses with a left hand
and Kerestes counters with a straight right hand.
The crowd cheers as Wallace lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kerestes doesn't seem phased though.
Wallace throws a series of punches but Kerestes avoids them all with ease.
Wallace misses the shot to the body.

Wallace fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kerestes, pushing him back against the cage.

Wallace manages to break the clinch.
Wallace throws a series of punches but Kerestes moves out of range.
Wallace ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kerestes moves away.
Wallace throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kerestes dodges the punch combination from Wallace.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wallace is looking to slow Kerestes down with leg kicks.
Wallace rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kerestes moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Wallace connects with a solid leg kick.
Kerestes chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Wallace ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kerestes moves away.
Wallace swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kerestes shoots in but Wallace avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A punch lands to the side of Wallace 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Wallace thows a body shot but no joy.
Wallace lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kerestes at a distance.
Kerestes slips a jab and a cross from Wallace.
Wallace takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Kerestes rushes Wallace and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Wallace using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Kerestes has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Kerestes breaks from the clinch.
Wallace swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Kerestes counters by clinching up.
Wallace throws an elbow that misses.

Wallace breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A big right from Wallace misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Wallace has closed the distance and engaged Kerestes in a clinch.

Wallace breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A jab lands there for Wallace.
Wallace throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kerestes sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Josh Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kerestes takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Wallace scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Kerestes slips a jab from Wallace.
Kerestes has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kerestes there as he acknowledges the shot.


Kerestes is rocked!
Kerestes tries to close the distance and clinch but Wallace swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Wallace takes the fight into the clinch.

Wallace breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kerestes has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Wallace finds it's way round the side to connect with Kerestes's head.
Wallace lands a high kick!
Kerestes is still on wobbly legs! Can Wallace finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wallace connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Kerestes tumbling to the canvas! Wallace pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Kerestes was done - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Josh Wallace!
