Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eljero Madsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omar Haseesh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haseesh has chosen Guns n Roses - Mr Brownstone as his entrance music. Omar Haseesh has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Haseesh looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Madsen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Haseesh trying his best to control but Madsen has mounted him. Haseesh is looking to improve his position but Madsen isn't that keen on the idea. Madsen trying to control but he's not successful this time. Madsen moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Haseesh has worked his arm free - good work by Haseesh!
Haseesh can't do much from the bottom here. Madsen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Haseesh is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Haseesh has one of Madsen's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage. Haseesh gets back to half guard. Haseesh tries to get to full guard but Madsen has control of the leg. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Madsen is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Haseesh has managed to free his arm - good work. Haseesh tries to kick Madsen off but Madsen keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Madsen trying to control from half guard but Haseesh is working away. The fighters are battling for position here. Haseesh manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Haseesh wants to stand but Madsen is controlling the position. Madsen drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Haseesh manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Madsen has Haseesh in his guard. Madsen keeping full guard, as Haseesh tries to pass.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Haseesh's corner is telling him to maintain position. Haseesh slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Haseesh is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Madsen has escaped the position, nice work there. Madsen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Haseesh wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Haseesh tries to score with some ground and pound. Madsen controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Madsen is trying to control Haseesh's posture but Haseesh avoids it. Haseesh is trying to get an arm triangle but Madsen is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Madsen is trying to buck Haseesh off. Haseesh lands an elbow. Madsen can't do much from the bottom here. Madsen is looking to reverse the position. Madsen is breathing heavily. Haseesh takes a little break here. Madsen wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Madsen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Haseesh pinned against the cage. Haseesh gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Madsen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Haseesh tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Madsen paws at him with a jab and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Haseesh looks to score with a jab to the body but Madsen is just out of range. That's one minute gone in the round. A shot to de liver by Haseesh. Beautiful body shot. Madsen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eljero Madsen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Haseesh tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Madsen paws at him with a jab and circles away. Madsen gets caught flat footed, as Haseesh shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Haseesh must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Haseesh looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Madsen working for submissions but it's allowed Haseesh to get to half guard.

Haseesh working over Madsen with some ground and pound. Madsen looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Haseesh trying to control from half guard but Madsen is working away. Haseesh seems to be working for a kimura but Madsen defends the submission attempt. Haseesh performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Haseesh trying to control the action but Madsen is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Madsen is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Haseesh pulls his head out easily. Haseesh takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Madsen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Haseesh takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Haseesh decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Haseesh tries to clinch up but Madsen circles away and keeps his distance. Haseesh moves in looking to clinch but Madsen pushes him off. Madsen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Haseesh tries to avoid it but Madsen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Haseesh to the ground. Haseesh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Omar Haseesh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Omar Haseesh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Haseesh is looking to clinch. Haseesh tries to clinch so Madsen counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Haseesh pushes Madsen off and scrambles back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Haseesh uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Madsen has time to react. Haseesh drives through and clinches with Madsen against the cage.

Haseesh scores with punches from side control. Madsen is letting Haseesh control him for a moment. Haseesh works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Haseesh lands a nice forearm strike. Haseesh staying calm. Haseesh gets to mount! Madsen was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Madsen wants to hold on but Haseesh pushes him away. Haseesh stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Haseesh is looking to clinch. Madsen takes a shot right to the bread basket. Haseesh drives through and clinches with Madsen against the cage.

Madsen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Haseesh as he avoids it easily. Haseesh throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Madsen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Eljero Madsen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Omar Haseesh is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Haseesh fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Madsen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Haseesh throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Haseesh has Madsen up against the cage in a clinch.

Madsen swats away the attempt to clinch by Haseesh. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Haseesh stuffs the takedown attempt from Madsen. Madsen gets slowly back to his feet. Eljero Madsen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eljero Madsen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Haseesh clinches up against the cage.
And that's the end of the fight! Omar Haseesh comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Haseesh has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
