Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jarrod Beard (ranked 2686 p4p, 3302 weight class) and Tate Stinforn (ranked 314 p4p, 374 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Stinforn's choice of entrance music: Jefferson Starship - Jane. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jarrod Beard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tate Stinforn!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beard with a nice cross.
Stinforn swinging wildly here.
Beard looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Stinforn throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Stinforn throws a quick inside leg kick.
Stinforn rushes Beard and presses him up against the cage.
Beard goes for a takedown attempt but Stinforn pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Stinforn lands with a kick to the temple. Beard shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Stinforn staying out of range there.
Stinforn shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Beard looks to land a right hand but Stinforn moved out of range.
Beard tries to sprawl but Stinforn drives through with a takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stinforn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Stinforn is looking to take a break and control but Beard is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Beard tries to roll over but Stinforn keeps him under control.
Beard is looking to control Stinforn's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Beard avoid being mounted?

Beard is trying to get back to full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Beard trying to hold on to Stinforn's head to control him but Stinforn postures up.
Beard slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Beard will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Stinforn working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Beard's head.
Beard has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Stinforn sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Beard wants to sweep but no luck.

Beard is trying to keep Stinforn in close.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Stinforn won't allow Beard to sweep him here.

Beard avoids a punch combination nicely.
Stinforn throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Beard.
Stinforn uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Beard.
Stinforn displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Beard throws out the jab.
Beard sizes up Stinforn with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Stinforn throws a right and a left that both miss.
Beard defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Stinforn.

Stinforn is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Beard.

Beard lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Stinforn is looking to close the distance but Beard sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Stinforn crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Stinforn is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
