Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Conrad Cartwright!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Topi Taunus!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Ron Honeybunn and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cartwright shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Taunus manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Taunus preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Taunus utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Cartwright looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Taunus keeping moving, preventing Cartwright from controlling successfully.
Cartwright distracts Taunus with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Cartwright cracks Taunus with a solid left hand.
Taunus wants to stand and escape but Cartwright is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cartwright lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Cartwright drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cartwright jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Cartwright is in close to Taunus's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Taunus is rocked!
Cartwright passes Taunus's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Taunus is still in real trouble! Can Cartwright finish him?
Cartwright is working for a submission of some sort.
Cartwright lands a big elbow - Taunus is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Cartwright!
