Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Petr Metr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jeff The! The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Metr dives in and grabs The's left leg, looking for a takedown. The pushes down on Metr's head and hops out. The doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. The dips down and scores with a jab to the body. The moves into the clinch. Metr jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as The walks away with a smile on his face. Metr gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. The throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

The throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Metr's waist but Metr gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing The off to one side. The lands a slapping body shot.
The jabs at Metr's body. Jeff The seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Metr doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. That's four minutes gone in the round. Metr tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. The manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. The looks like he wants to counter punch here. The tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Metr was well out of range. Poor timing from The. Metr looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Metr shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts The as he jumps to the side. The misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Metr.

Jeff The dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Metr misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. The dips down and scores with a jab to the body. The drives through and clinches with Metr against the cage.
The tries to break the clinch but Metr is controlling the position. Metr pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. The misses with a leg kick and Metr counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps The thinking. A head kick misses from Metr. The closes the distance and pushes Metr back into the cage. Metr breaks the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Metr looking to slow down the pace here. Metr changes levels and goes for a takedown here. The fights it off and pushes away nicely.
The rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Metr moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Jeff The seems to be getting the better of the standup. The cracks Metr with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. The tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Metr was well out of range. Poor timing from The. The is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Metr rather than just go for the knockout. Metr has his takedown stuffed and The counters with a right hand to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The connects with a combination that backs up Metr into the cage. The lands a flurry of punches that gets past Metr's guard. Metr is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! The bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
