Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kapd Be! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Olu Banjo! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Be defending well as Banjo loads up on a big left hand. Banjo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Be moves away. Be is looking to counter the offense by Banjo and move into the clinch. Kapd Be seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Be tries to clinch up but Banjo circles away and keeps his distance. Be takes a swing at Banjo's ribcage but misses. A looping hook to the body misses from Banjo. Be does a little dance to reset his feet. Be keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Banjo throws out a powerful jab. Be tries to clinch up but Banjo circles away and keeps his distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Banjo ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Be throws the left hand but Banjo avoids the punch easily. Be has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA Las Vegas in the buildup to the fight. Banjo takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Banjo takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Banjo throws a jab but it's blocked by Be.
That's one minute gone in the round. Banjo throws a hook to the side of Be's head but Be sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Be tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Banjo paws at him with a jab and circles away. Banjo throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Be lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Jab from Be. Be clinches with his opponent.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Be. Banjo tries to pull guard but Be holds him up against the cage and eventually Banjo drops back down to his feet.
Be tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Banjo ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Banjo no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Be has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Be wants to stand but Banjo is controlling his posture from full guard. Banjo is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Be frees his head nicely. Oh but Banjo has switched to an armbar! Be is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
