Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wang Chung (ranked 1412 p4p, 3547 weight class) and Ryan Wizard (ranked 66 p4p, 118 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wang Chung!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryan Wizard!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Wizard looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wizard doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Chung counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Chung swinging wildly here.

Chung has Wizard up against the cage in a clinch.
Wizard tries to circle away but Chung has him pinned against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wizard has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Chung regains guard immediately.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chung keeping moving, preventing Wizard from controlling successfully.

Wizard tries to free his leg and advance position but Chung is retaining full guard.

Chung thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Wizard must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Chung will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Wizard is pushing down on Chung's leg trying to pass to half guard. Chung is fighting to maintain full guard but Wizard has managed to sneak the leg through.
Chung is not content to let Wizard control the position.

Wizard seems to be working for a kimura but Chung defends the submission attempt.
Chung has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wizard is working away from the top position though.

Chung has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Wizard has hold of Chung's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Chung manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Chung is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Wizard can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Chung is looking to escape.

Chung is squirming around, avoiding Wizard's attempts to control the action.

Wizard looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Chung regains half guard.
Chung tries to get to full guard but Wizard has control of the leg.

Chung desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Chung keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ryan Wizard dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Wizard takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Chung closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wizard did well to prevent Chung getting side control.

Chung stands up over Wizard, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Chung wants to control from the top but Wizard keeps moving.
Chung postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Wizard covers up, he's hurt! Chung keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Chung and the ref steps in to end the fight! Chung can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wang Chung!
Wang Chung was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
