Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Baker (ranked 2909 p4p, 4320 weight class) and Vladimir Tarlac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 27 - 2, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brian Baker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 32 - 0, fighting out of London, Vladimir Tarlac!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tarlac fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tarlac misses with a takedown attempt - Baker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Baker lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Baker fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Baker drops Tarlac with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Tarlac looks back up at him and smiles so Baker waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Vladimir Tarlac has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tarlac wants to clinch up but Baker keeps it at a distance.
Some wild striking there from Baker.
No luck for Tarlac with that takedown attempt.
Brian Baker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vladimir Tarlac.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Baker gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Tarlac.
A short uppercut from Baker.

Tarlac has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Baker after a bit of a struggle.
Baker content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Tarlac should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Baker lands with a short shot to the head.
Tarlac can't get the takedown.
Nice body punch from Baker - that landed with a thud.
Tarlac tries to score a body lock takedown but Baker shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Tarlac drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Baker gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Baker breaks from the clinch.

and Baker counters with a nice right hand that sends Tarlac toppling to the canvas! Tarlac scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Baker finish him?!

Tarlac walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Baker swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
