Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ted Meredith (ranked 2958 p4p, 2771 weight class) and Ebubekir Siddik (ranked 366 p4p, 349 weight class). Meredith's entrance music is Skinny Boys - Skinny (They Can't Get Enough). A fine choice. Ebubekir Siddik has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ted Meredith's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Ted Meredith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Ebubekir Siddik! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Andrew Berry and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Siddik moves forwards but Meredith connects with a nice, crisp jab. Meredith has been working on his boxing with his coaches at London MMA Club in the buildup to the fight. Siddik throws a predictable looking body shot
and Meredith counters with a straight right hand. Meredith looks to land a left hand but Siddik moved out of range nicely. Meredith just misses with a punch to the body.
Meredith connects with a nice looking jab.
Siddik gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Meredith ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Siddik moves away. Siddik ducks under a wild hook from Meredith. Meredith's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Meredith duly obliges. No luck for Siddik with that takedown attempt. A shot to the liver by Meredith. Beautiful body shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Meredith ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Meredith swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Siddik on the wrong end of a nice jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Siddik throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Meredith counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Meredith looks to land a combination. Siddik sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Meredith keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Siddik. Siddik shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Meredith counters with a three punch combo that has Siddik backing up. Siddik nods at Meredith to acknowledge the strikes. Siddik fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Meredith avoids it really well and circles away. Siddik has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Ted Meredith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ebubekir Siddik. Siddik scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Meredith wants to get back to his feet but Siddik is dominant here and he's now got Meredith's back! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. You can see the frustration on Meredith's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Siddik thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Siddik controlling well, preventing Meredith from escaping the position.
Siddik lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Meredith rolls, trying to escape but Siddik keeps control of the position.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Siddik.
Meredith tries to roll but Siddik sticks to his back.
Meredith wants to control his opponent's hands but Siddik gets his hands free. Meredith is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Oooh a big shot gets through from Siddik. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Meredith wants to escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Siddik controlling well, preventing Meredith from escaping the position.
Meredith is keeping busy.
Siddik lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Meredith.
Meredith is trying to break free.
Siddik has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Meredith covers up after that shot from Siddik.
Meredith rolls, trying to escape but Siddik keeps control of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Meredith covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Meredith is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Siddik cracks Meredith with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Meredith from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Meredith manages to reverse the position and now he's in Siddik's guard. Nice work there by Meredith.
Siddik controlling the position. Meredith throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Siddik works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Siddik tries to land a sweep but no joy. Siddik is adopting a defensive guard. Meredith trying to control but Siddik is working from the bottom. Siddik pulls Meredith in close to prevent any damage. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ted Meredith dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Siddik misses with a hook. Meredith throws a body shot but no joy. Siddik moves into the clinch. Siddik takes a shot to the head. Meredith unloads a knee to the mid-section. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Siddik. Meredith looking to throw knees to the head but Siddik is blocking nicely.
Meredith is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Meredith's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Meredith stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Siddik has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Meredith is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Meredith creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Siddik turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Siddik manages to end up in side control. Meredith tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Ebubekir Siddik has got the better of the ground game so far. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Meredith tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Meredith wants to hold on but Siddik pushes him away. Siddik with a couple of short strikes. Meredith tries to hold on but Siddik postures up. Meredith is working to get back to half guard.
Siddik lands a couple of good shots and Meredith has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Meredith is trapped and Siddik is scoring with shots to the head and body.
Meredith is rocked! Meredith staying busy and making it hard for Siddik to control. Oh Meredith is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Meredith is trying to break free.
Siddik is not going to allow Meredith to sit and survive in this position. Siddik is scoring with a succession of shots from the back. Meredith is covering up - he's had enough and the ref steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ebubekir Siddik! Ebubekir Siddik bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
