Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eric Ries!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Genji Kamogawa!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, William Gold and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kamogawa misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ries misses with a head kick.
Kamogawa swings widly with a right hand
letting Ries counter with a right hand.
Kamogawa misses the shot to the body.
Kamogawa tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ries was well out of range. Poor timing from Kamogawa.
Kamogawa lands a head shot.
Genji Kamogawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ries connects with a nice looking jab.
A big left from Kamogawa misses.
Kamogawa feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Riess jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Kamogawa clobbers Ries with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Kamogawa throws a hook but Ries avoids it easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ries takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Kamogawa avoids the body shot from Ries.
Kamogawa throws a right hand that misses
and Ries counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Ries drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Kamogawa swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kamogawa misses with an uppercut.
Kamogawa missing with a left hand there. Ries was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kamogawa might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ries lands with a nice body punch.
Ries lands a nice shot to the body.
Kamogawa tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ries was well out of range. Poor timing from Kamogawa.
Ries is looking for a counter combo.
Kamogawa looks to land a right hand but Ries moved out of range.
Ries cracks Kamogawa with an open hand slap.
Kamogawa rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Ries counter with a right hand.
Ries lands a nice shot that snaps Kamogawa's head back.
Kamogawa shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ries eats them both and turns towards Kamogawa to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Ries keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Kamogawa is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Ries throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Kamogawa is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Eric Ries!
