Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Lujan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Slanski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brian Slanski! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slanski throws a right and a left that both miss. Lujan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Slanski is fending him off so far but Lujan persists. Nope, Slanski circles away and we're back to standing. Slanski gets caught flat footed, as Lujan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Slanski wants to sweep but no luck. Lujan postures up in Slanski's guard and throws a big left but Slanski blocks it. Lujan preventing the sweep. Slanski is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Slanski is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lujan defends it well. Lujan throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Lujan is looking for a sweep. Slanski is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Lujan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Slanski's half guard. Slanski looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Slanski actively working from the bottom here. Lujan scoring with strikes to the body and head. Slanski tries to get to full guard but Lujan has control of the leg. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Lujan wants to control but Slanski is keeping him busy.

Slanski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Slanski trying to control here.
Slanski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Lujan wants to free his trapped foot but Slanski is holding on for dear life with his legs.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Slanski pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lujan closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Slanski to the mat! Slanski manages to get full guard. Lujan is breathing heavily. Slanski had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lujan is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Slanski Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lujan's back instead. Lujan is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lujan wants to control his opponent's hands but Slanski gets his hands free. Slanski looking for the RNC. Slanski keeps control of the position as Lujan tries to break free.
Slanski is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Lujan defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Lujan is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Slanski gets his way!

Lujan turns into Slanski and is now in his guard.
Lujan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lujan throws a big right hand that misses. Slanski throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Slanski manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lujan is desperately trying to improve his position but Slanski has a good base and remains in mount. Slanski unloading with bombs! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brian Slanski dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Lujan scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Slanski regains half guard. Slanski moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Lujan trying to control but Slanski is working from the bottom. Slanski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Slanski looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Lujan is defending well. Slanski quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Lujan has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Slanski celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
