Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Franklin Shark! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shark takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Shark clobbers Jones with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Sloppy strikes from Shark. Those never looked like landing. Jones shoots in for a double leg but Shark sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Jones takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Shark lands a nice shot to the body.

Shark connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jones's hands. Jones seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Shark lands with an overhand left. Shark tests Jones's chin there with a solid looking shot. A jab from Shark does it's job there. Jones shoots in but no luck this time. Shark looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Shark lands a nice hook to Jones's body. Jones takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Jones is breathing heavily. Shark punishes Jones's body with a nice straight punch.

Shark lands a lovely overhand right. Shark tests Jones's chin there with a solid looking shot. Shark has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Shark fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Shark throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Jones tumbling to the canvas! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Shark would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Jones looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Shark scores with a nice head shot. Shark comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Shark has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Shark scores with a hook. Franklin Shark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shark closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Jones! Shark dives in looking to finish! Jones is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Franklin Shark! Franklin Shark was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed. Billy Jones spoke after the fight, saying 'Can't wait to eat, this weight cutting business sucks. '.
