Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jabba Christ (ranked 5520 p4p, 4214 weight class) and Jimmy Lex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jimmy Lex is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jimmy Lex!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christ getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Lex shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Christ counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Christ lands a jab to the head.
Lex looks for a takedown but Christ sprawls well.
Christ throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Jabba Christ seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Christ avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Lex takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Christ moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Christ is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Christ gets tackled into the cage by Lex. Lex maintains the clinch.

Lex wants to take the fight to the mat but Christ manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Jabba Christ has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Lex.

Christ tries to break the clinch but Lex is controlling the position.
Christ lands with a short shot to the head.
Christ looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Christ is trying to force a seperation but Lex has the dominant position.
Lex gets control of Christ's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lex will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Lex is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lex wants to stand and escape but Christ is having none of it.

Christ wants to stand and escape but instead Lex has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Christ throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lex on the side of the head.

Lex takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Christ lunges at Lex with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lex's hand.

and Christ counters with a nice uppercut.
Lex ducks right into an uppercut from Christ.
Christ connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Lex takes one on the button.
Christ lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lex backs up against the cage.
Lex is rocked!

Lex takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Christ looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Christ moves out of range of the body kick.
Christ throwing a counter right hand but Lex manages to avoid it.

Christ lands a jab to Lex's midsection.
Lex drops his hands momentarily and Christ takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Lex gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Christ counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Lex looks winded!
Christ throws an overhand right that drops Lex like a sack of potatoes! Christ dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jabba Christ!
