Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tank Thomas!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chevy Iverson!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Iverson's coach down at Temple of Fitness was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Iverson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Iverson thumps Thomas with a low kick.
Iverson defending well as Thomas loads up on a big left hand.
Iverson throws a right hand that Thomas ducks under and follows up with a left that Thomas also avoids with ease.
Thomas takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Thomas missing with a left hand there. Iverson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Iverson is looking to slow Thomas down with leg kicks.
Thomas throws a pinpoint strike between Iverson's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Iverson crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Thomas scores a great knockout victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tank Thomas!
Tank Thomas retains his heavyweight title!
A relieved looking Tank Thomas thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
