Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luis Maestre (ranked 420 p4p, 2617 weight class) and Bill Beukeboom (ranked 18 p4p, 83 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 36 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bill Beukeboom!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Beukeboom throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
As Beukeboom looks to move away, Maestre throws a big counter combo but Beukeboom just gets out of the way.
Maestre looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Beukeboom throws the left hand but Maestre avoids the punch easily.
Maestre throws a shot from downtown. Beukeboom moves away and avoids it.
Beukeboom swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Beukeboom slips a jab from Maestre.
Maestre's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Beukeboom connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Maestre scrambles back to his feet.
Beukeboom throws an overhand right that lands on Maestre's shoulder, as Maestre tries to avoid the shot.
Maestre throws a body punch but Beukeboom moves out of range.
Maestre misses with a jab, cross combination.
We've been informed that Beukeboom has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Beukeboom throws a hook but Maestre avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Beukeboom throws a jab when Maestre was well out of range.

No joy there for Maestre, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Maestre circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Beukeboom to the canvas! Beukeboom doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Maestre keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
