Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Omar Sandoyano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Travis Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab by Sandoyano.
Sandoyano misses with a series of wild punches.
Jackson throws a combination that misses
and Sandoyano counters with a nice leg kick.
Sandoyano lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jackson's sensitive parts.
Some wild striking there from Jackson.
Jackson wants to slow Sandoyano down by chopping away at his legs.
A punch combination from Sandoyano misses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Sandoyano cracks Jackson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Jackson takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
A left lands for Jackson.
Sandoyano moves in looking to clinch but Jackson pushes him off.
Sandoyano's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Sandoyano duly obliges.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jackson throws a combination that misses
and Jackson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


Jackson is rocked!
Jackson looks gassed!
Sandoyano misses with a wild body shot.
Jackson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sandoyano feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jackson's calf.
Jackson misses with a double jab

and Sandoyano counters with a big uppercut that knocks Jackson off his feet! Sandoyano dives into side control looking to finish!
Jackson is still in real trouble! Can Sandoyano finish him?
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sandoyano decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Sandoyano tries to clinch but Jackson is having none of it.
Sandoyano scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Jackson seems to have recovered his senses.
Sandoyano is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
A chopping leg kick lands by Sandoyano.
Sandoyano misses with a low kick as Jackson jumps back.
Jackson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


Omar Sandoyano's cut is getting worse.
No joy there for Sandoyano, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Jackson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Sandoyano - the referee stops the clock and Jackson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Sandoyano. Jackson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jackson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sandoyano.
Sandoyano goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Sandoyano keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jackson wants to clinch up but Sandoyano keeps it at a distance.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jackson.


Sandoyano is rocked!

Jackson stands up.
Oh Sandoyano is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Jackson closes the distance looking for a takedown. Sandoyano stuffs it but Jackson still has hold of him. Jackson picks Sandoyano up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Jackson slams Sandoyano to the floor and that's really hurt Sandoyano - he doesn't know where he is! Jackson throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Travis Jackson!
