Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parker comes into the arena with Hero blaring out of the sound system. Cane has chosen Ghost as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Peter Parker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thiago Cane! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Lou da Vinci and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cane tries to close the distance and clinch but Parker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A swing and a miss from Parker. Cane misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cane tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Parker paws at him with a jab and circles away. Cane misses with a hook. Parker ducked under it nicely. Cane lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Parker circles away quickly and effectively. Cane throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Cane misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

An inside leg kick lands from Cane. Cane tries a head kick but it misses.
Parker misses with a hook. Cane ducked under it nicely. Parker gets a takedown into half guard. Parker is working for a kimura but Cane is defending it quite comfortably.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Cane looks gassed! Parker is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cane is just riding it out for now. Parker eventually gives up the hold. Parker is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Parker is looking for a kimura but Cane is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Parker to get the leverage. Parker is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Cane wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Parker is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Cane has managed to free his arm - good work. Parker is looking to take a break and control but Cane is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cane is trying to maintain the position but Parker is very close to passing his half guard. Parker is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cane sees it coming and defends easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Parker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cane keeps working. Cane tries to kick Parker off but Parker keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Cane really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Parker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Parker seems to be looking for submissions.

Cane is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Parker is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Peter Parker dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
A head kick misses from Cane. Excellent takedown into side control there by Parker. Parker tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Parker has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Cane wants to get back to his feet but Parker drags him back down. Cane is breathing heavily. Parker tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Cane is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Parker asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Cane can't do much from the bottom here. Cane tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Parker wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Parker tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Parker wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cane, who protects the arm well. Cane is trying to buck Parker off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cane prevents Parker from improving position. Cane pushes Parker away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Parker gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Parker tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Parker thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Parker throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Parker is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Cane is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Parker tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cane wants to control but Parker postures up. Parker goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Cane rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Parker's guard! Nice work there by Cane! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cane wants to stand but Parker has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Parker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cane doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Parker is tightening it up a little... Cane has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Cane reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Cane taps out! nice BJJ there by Parker!
