Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Noel Rafferty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gaius Marius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Columbo Gatti and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marius fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Rafferty shoots for a takedown but Marius saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Marius looks to land a left hand but Rafferty moved out of range nicely.
Rafferty misses with a series of wild punches.
Marius throws a hook but Rafferty avoids it easily.

Marius throws out a loose jab but Rafferty uses good head movement to avoid it.
Marius shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rafferty as he jumps to the side.
Rafferty tries to close the distance and clinch but Marius swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Marius lands a big shot that drops Rafferty! Can he finish him?

It looks like Noel Rafferty has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Marius stuns Rafferty with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Marius shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rafferty pinned against the cage. Rafferty gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
