The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Elvul looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Verus! Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Verus (0) vs (4) Elvul
Verus is not content to let Elvul control the position.
Verus tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Elvul wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Verus looking for a sweep but Elvul has passed into full mount! Oh no! Score +2 for reaching mount: Verus (0) vs (6) Elvul
Elvul moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Verus has worked his arm free - good work by Verus!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Verus tries to improve position but can't.

Elvul tries to move into full mount but can't pass Verus's legs.
Elvul trying to control the action but Verus is working from the bottom.
Elvul might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Verus haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Verus definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Verus is trying to control Elvul's posture but Elvul avoids it.
Verus is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Elvul's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Elvul! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Verus has tapped! This one is allllll over!
