Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yoji Anjo Anjo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Herrera!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herrera goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

It looks like Yoji Anjo Anjo has been cut.

Herrera gets a clinch.

Herrera pulls guard effortlessly.
Anjo stays in close to Herrera's body and controls the position.
Anjo tries to free his leg and advance position but Herrera is retaining full guard.
Anjo slips nicely into half guard.
Anjo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Herrera trying to control but Anjo postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Herrera is trying to get back to full guard.
Herrera misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Anjo content to control rather than advance.

Herrera looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Sloppy strikes from Herrera. Those never looked like landing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Herrera misses with a head kick.

Anjo gets caught napping as Herrera dives in and scores a takedown. Anjo manages to retain guard.

Anjo uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Herrera changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Anjo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
You can see the frustration on Anjo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Anjo won't allow Herrera to pass to mount.
Anjo moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Anjo is pulling down on Herrera's head. It's preventing any offense from Herrera, at least for the moment.

Anjo looking for a triangle here. Herrera is fighting it but it looks tight! Anjo pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Herrera is tapping out - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Yoji Anjo Anjo!
Yoji Anjo Anjo seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
In defeat, Paul Herrera stepped up to the mic, saying 'I love you all!'.
