PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Grabber (ranked 3397 p4p, 4458 weight class) and Oscar Meyer (ranked 149 p4p, 188 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Grabber might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Side to Side. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 50 - 28 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andy Grabber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 41 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oscar Meyer!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grabber attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Grabber misses with a low kick.
Grabber swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Meyer swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Grabber counters with a nice low kick that buckles Meyer's knee momentarily.
Nice straight punches there by Grabber. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Grabber.
Grabber takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Grabber misses with a lunging right hand

and Meyer counters by moving into the clinch.
Grabber misses with a punch on the inside.
Grabber misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Grabber misses with some punches.

Meyer manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A cross from Grabber lands.
Grabber throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Meyer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Meyer ducks under a wild hook from Grabber.

Meyer forces Grabber back against the cage and clinches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Grabber lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Grabber breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Grabber, as that shot connected.
Andy Grabber is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Grabber throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Grabber takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Grabber throws a body punch but Meyer moves out of range.
Meyer only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Meyer has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Meyer fails in his attempt to clinch.

Meyer closes the distance and pushes Grabber back into the cage.
Grabber lands a hook to the side of the head.
Grabber lands a nice uppercut.
Meyer tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Grabber lands a hook that snaps the head of Meyer backwards.
Grabber lands a hook to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Grabber pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Meyer slips a straight right by Grabber.
Meyer with the counter takedown but Grabber avoids it easily.
Grabber lets loose with a powerful body kick. Meyer will feel that in the morning.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Meyer fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Grabber.
Meyer takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Meyer takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Grabber throws a shot from downtown. Meyer moves away and avoids it.
Meyer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Grabber.
Grabber looks to score with a jab to the body but Meyer is just out of range.
Meyer drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Grabber defends it well.
Meyer doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Andy Grabber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Meyer is looking to clinch but Grabber is avoiding it.
Grabber connects with a leg kick.
Meyer defending well as Grabber loads up on a big left hand.
Grabber ducks right into an uppercut from Meyer.
Grabber dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Grabber darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nice body punch from Grabber.
Grabber throws a nice inside leg kick.
Meyer shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Meyer takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Good leg kick by Grabber.
Grabber scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Meyer is rocked!
BOOM! Grabber lands a beautiful left hook that drops Meyer. Meyer tries to recover but Grabber is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Meyer lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andy Grabber!
A less than humble Andy Grabber misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
