Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Iago Farfan (ranked 94 p4p, 435 weight class) and Lasha Abashidze (ranked 14 p4p, 61 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farfan lands an overhand right.
A jab from Abashidze misses.
Farfan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Farfan takes one to the side of the head.

It looks like Iago Farfan has been cut.
Farfan keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Abashidze shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Farfan but Farfan pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Farfan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Farfan lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

It looks like Lasha Abashidze has been cut.
Farfan connects with a solid leg kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Farfan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Abashidze.
Farfan was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Abashidze ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Farfan turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
No joy there for Abashidze, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Abashidze changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

and Farfan counters with a big head kick but Abashidze shrugs it off.
Abashidze misses with an uppercut
and Farfan counters with a leg kick.
Farfan gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Farfan works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Abashidze swings widly with a right hand
and Farfan counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Abashidze misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Farfan counters with a nice right hand that sends Abashidze toppling to the canvas! Abashidze scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Farfan finish him?!

Abashidze is rocked!

Farfan fakes the body blow, causing Abashidze to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Abashidze goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
