Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Clifford Val Salvacion (ranked 24186 p4p, 4346 weight class) and Nick Dalton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 18 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clifford Val Salvacion! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 24 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Dalton! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Dalton keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Dalton tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Dalton has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Salvacion will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Salvacion shoots in and drives through. Dalton sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clifford Val Salvacion. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salvacion shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Salvacion showed some decent athleticism there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dalton pushes Salvacion off looking to stand but Salvacion dives back in and keeps control.
Salvacion stalling away here and it's allowed Dalton to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dalton manages to escape and get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dalton decides to return to a standing position. Salvacion dives in and grabs Dalton's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dalton pushes down on Salvacion's head and hops out. Salvacion shoots in for a takedown but Dalton shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. And Dalton tries to counter it with a takedown but Salvacion pushes his down on his head and steps out. No luck for Salvacion with that takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvacion shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dalton pinned against the cage. Dalton gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Salvacion will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Salvacion fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Dalton changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Salvacion shoots in for a takedown but Dalton shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Salvacion fails miserably with a takedown attempt. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Salvacion dives in for a single leg takedown but Dalton sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Dalton is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Dalton is trying to trip Salvacion. He has hold of a leg but Salvacion is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Dalton persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Nick Dalton has got the better of the ground game so far. Salvacion is working an open guard so Dalton takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Salvacion fails with a takedown attempt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Salvacion goes for a double leg but Dalton avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dalton continues to drive forward. Dalton has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Salvacion is trying to keep an underhook but Dalton manages to get the takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dalton gets to his feet - back to striking we go! No luck with that takedown attempt from Salvacion. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! No luck with that takedown attempt from Salvacion. Dalton drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Salvacion defends it well. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Nick Dalton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Salvacion's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round! Salvacion misses with a takedown attempt and Dalton counters with a shoot takedown. Salvacion fights it but they end up in guard. Dalton is standing up over Salvacion. Salvacion looks to escape but Dalton dives into side control.
Dalton stands up and beckons Salvacion to his feet. Dalton has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Salvacion looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dalton is fending him off so far but Salvacion persists. Nope, Dalton circles away and we're back to standing. And Dalton tries to counter it with a takedown but Salvacion pushes his down on his head and steps out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dalton gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Dalton stands and steps away. Salvacion gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Dalton leaves Salvacion with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Salvacion changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dalton tries to avoid it but Salvacion manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dalton to the ground. Dalton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Dalton feints the counter takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvacion throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dalton's waist but Dalton gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Salvacion off to one side. Salvacion fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Dalton changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Salvacion shoots for a takedown but Dalton saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Salvacion tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dalton swivels and escapes. Nick Dalton seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Salvacion tries for a takedown but Dalton sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Dalton feints the counter takedown. Salvacion looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Clifford Val Salvacion has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Salvacion misses with a takedown attempt and Dalton counters with a nice double leg into side control. Salvacion won't be happy with that.
And that's the end of the fight! Nick Dalton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Dalton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
