Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Garces (ranked 6014 p4p, 4342 weight class) and Haygag Kapoian (ranked 0 p4p, 149 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Garces might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Light into the Darkness. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Kavanagh and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garces tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kapoian paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Garces lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Kapoian fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Garces drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Garces wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kapoian keeps working.
Kapoian is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Kapoian is trying to maintain the position but Garces is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kapoian working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Garces doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Kapoian is tightening it up a little... Garces has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Garces reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Garces taps out! Nice BJJ there by Kapoian!

After the fight, Haygag Kapoian was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
