This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 1 losses; Dusty Rhodeo! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 2 losses; Dick Spots!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Spots closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Rhodeo (0) vs (2) Spots
Spots is taking a breather. Rhodeo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Rhodeo looking for submissions off his back.
Rhodeo tries to get to full guard but Spots has control of the leg.
Spots is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Rhodeo trying to control from the bottom.
Spots looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rhodeo holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Rhodeo wants to improve his position but Spots is controlling well.

Spots really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rhodeo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rhodeo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Spots is working away from the top position though.
Rhodeo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Spots looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Spots wants to pass to mount but Rhodeo is defending the position.

Spots perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Rhodeo gets full guard.
Rhodeo working for a triangle but Spots defends it easily.
Rhodeo pulls Spots in close to prevent any damage.
Spots trying to control the position from guard on top but Rhodeo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Spots stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rhodeo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rhodeo wants to sweep here but Spots controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Spots wants to control from the top but Rhodeo keeps moving.
Rhodeo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Spots is one step ahead there.
Rhodeo has his foot on Spots's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Spots works his way back into a safe position though.

Rhodeo working for submissions but it's allowed Spots to get to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rhodeo is not content to let Spots control the position.
Spots prevents Rhodeo from improving his position.
Well, if Spots is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Rhodeo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Spots is aware though and is defending well.
Spots content to stall in guard here.
Spots has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Rhodeo to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Spots is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Rhodeo pulls down on the head and he's put Spots to sleep! This one is all over!
