The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Demetriou gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Demetriou has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Peziev is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Peziev prevents a takedown attempt there.
Demetriou is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Peziev gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Rafa Peziev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ionas Demetriou.

Demetriou tries to buck Peziev off but Peziev is having none of it.
Peziev is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Demetriou knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Peziev wants to take his opponent's back but Demetriou doesn't allow it.
Peziev could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Demetriou is wriggling around trying to escape.
Peziev is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Peziev extends the arm and Demetriou is forced to tap!
