The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaney connects with a solid leg kick.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Chaney throws a head kick that misses.
Silva is looking to counter the offense by Chaney and move into the clinch.
Chaney closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Chaney lands in his opponent's guard.
Silva is wriggling around but Chaney manages to pass to half guard.
Chaney decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Chaney gets the takedown into side control.
Silva tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chaney on the ground.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Chaney working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Silva looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Chaney! Submission of the night perhaps?
