Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Crux (ranked 6058 p4p, 4169 weight class) and William Maxey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alex Crux!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, William Maxey!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Topper Green and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Crux crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Maxey - the referee stops the clock and Crux gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Maxey. Crux manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Maxey misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Crux looks to score with a jab to the body but Maxey is just out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Crux. Those never looked like landing.
Maxey throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Crux has closed the distance and engaged Maxey in a clinch.

Crux steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Maxey. That one must have hurt.

Maxey shoots in looking for a takedown but Crux manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Maxey's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

William Maxey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
