Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Logan (ranked 148 p4p, 216 weight class) and White Rain (ranked 26 p4p, 36 weight class). Logan's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Evil Scotsman. Rain has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Frankie Logan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, White Rain! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab, jab by Rain - just one landing. Logan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A little jabbing left from Rain on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Logan throws a big shot that misses. Logan just misses with a punch to the body.
Rain connects with a leg kick. Rain lunges at Logan with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Logan's hand. That kick from Rain tenderised Logan's leg. Logan is trying to keep his angry face on. Rain keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Logan. Excellent takedown into side control there by Logan. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Rain is trying to get back to half guard. Logan controls the position. Rain is looking to reverse the position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Logan grinds an elbow into Rain's temple. Rain is trying to control Logan's posture but Logan avoids it. Logan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rain is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Rain is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rain manages to work his way to half guard, despite Logan's best efforts. Rain is trying to get back to full guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Logan connects with a nice short shot to Rain's temple. Logan prevents Rain from standing back up.
Logan seems to be working for a kimura but Rain defends the submission attempt. Logan prevents Rain from improving his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rain works his way to full guard. Good work.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Rain working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Logan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Logan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rain has his feet on Logan's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Logan walks into a jab. Logan on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rain. Rain obviously looking to wear him down.
Logan displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rain throws out the jab. White Rain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rain slips under a jab from Logan. Logan misses with an uppercut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rain takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Rain throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Rain throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Logan connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. A slow jab from Rain misses its intended target. Rain throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Logan looks to score with a jab to the body but Rain is just out of range. Logan takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Logan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rain circles away. Rain avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Logan checks the leg kick. Logan takes a kick to the side of the head. Rain lands with a right hand. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! This has been an exciting period of action! Logan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Rain uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Logan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rain is trying to defend but Logan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Logan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rain keeps working. Logan wants to free his trapped foot but Rain is holding on for dear life with his legs. Rain tries to kick Logan off but Logan keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Logan keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Rain manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Logan keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Rain blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Rain lands with a left to the head. Logan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

White Rain dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Logan tests Rain's chin there with a solid looking shot. A solid leg kick lands there for Logan.

and Rain counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. It looks like Logan has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Logan throws a low kick but it's checked well by Rain. A leg kick checked by Logan. Logan scores with a jab. Rain acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Donk. Logan catches Rain right on the button with a cross. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rain throws a leg kick but Logan checks it. Rain stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Logan. Nice defenses there by Logan. Logan lands a nice leg kick that just misses Rain's sensitive parts. Logan throws a half hearted mid kick. Rain throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Logan sees it coming and avoids it easily. Logan misses with a hook. Logan buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Rain tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Rain will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rain is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

That was a close second round but I would say that Frankie Logan will probably get the nod. That's time! Logan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! A solid leg kick lands there for Logan.

On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Logan waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Rain. Logan takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
This has been an exciting period of action! Rain tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Rain connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Rain's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Logan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Logan moves out of range of the strikes.

White Rain has got the better of the ground game so far. Rain is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rain wants to stand but Logan is controlling the position. Logan gets to his feet. Rain looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Logan swinging wildly here.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Frankie Logan. I think Logan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
