Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Imani Idowu (ranked 560 p4p, 450 weight class) and Apophis Kalmisto (ranked 53 p4p, 40 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kalmisto's choice of entrance music: Tässäkö tää oli. Apophis Kalmisto has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Imani Idowu's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Apophis Kalmisto!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Idowu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kalmisto's waist but Kalmisto gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Idowu off to one side.
Kalmisto stuffs the takedown attempt from Idowu. Idowu gets slowly back to his feet.
Idowu staying out of range there.
Kalmisto throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Idowu sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Idowu tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Kalmisto tries a quick counter leg kick but Idowu is wise to it.
Kalmisto wants to slow Idowu down by chopping away at his legs.
Kalmisto misses with a leg kick
and Idowu counters with a single leg into guard. Kalmisto didn't expect that.
Kalmisto looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kalmisto wants to sweep but no luck.
Kalmisto pushes a forearm under Idowu's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Idowu is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
