Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Arnason (ranked 599 p4p, 2003 weight class) and Nakagome Kakuzo (ranked 78 p4p, 262 weight class). Arnason comes to the cage accompanied by Michael Jackson - Off The Wall. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nakagome Kakuzo!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Anthony Taglia and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arnason connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
We've been told by Arnason's head coaches at Desert Fitness & Training (14 Elite Coaches) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Arnason bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kakuzo's head backwards.
Kakuzo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A quick step to the side and Arnason tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Arnason throws out a leg kick but Kakuzo moves out of range and Arnason only half commits.

and Kakuzo holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Arnason tries to break the clinch but Kakuzo is controlling the position.
Kakuzo gets control of Arnason's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kakuzo will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Kakuzo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Arnason can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kakuzo crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Arnason - the referee stops the clock and Kakuzo gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Arnason. Kakuzo manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
