Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yang Kang (ranked 5325 p4p, 24403 weight class) and Jason Nolan (ranked 526 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason Nolan has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Yang Kang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Nolan!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kang gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kang wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Nolan manages to pass to side control.

Nolan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kang wants to control but Nolan is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Nolan uses his free foot to push down on Kang's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kang.

Nolan jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kang manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Kang is letting Nolan control him for a moment.

Nolan misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Kang tries to bench press Nolan off him but Nolan keeps the position.

Nolan slips a jab and a cross from Kang.
Kang throws a left and a right that both miss
and Nolan counters by moving into the clinch.

Nolan has Kang pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Nolan pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Kang tumbling to the mat - Nolan dives into Kang's guard.
Nolan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Kang wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Nolan is now in half guard.

Kang is looking to control Nolan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kang avoid being mounted?

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Nolan is looking to take a break and control but Kang is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Nolan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kang is looking to escape.

Nolan gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Nolan stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Kang tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Nolan is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Kang defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nolan is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Nolan gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Nolan gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Nolan apologises and we restart here on the feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kang dives in for a single leg takedown but Nolan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jason Nolan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Nolan counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Nolan.
Kang is trying to break the clinch but Nolan has him pressed against the cage.
Nolan wants the takedown. Kang is fighting it off but Nolan persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kang's guard against the cage.

Kang knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nolan on the ground.
Nolan stands up and waves to Kang to follow him.
Kang fails in his attempt to clinch.

Kang is trying to escape back to his feet but Nolan uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Well Nolan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
