Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 24479 p4p, 24501 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 16 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Buut fails with a takedown attempt. Mibangon is looking to counter with a body kick. Buut shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mibangon manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut controlling from the top position. Buut's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Buut looking to pass the guard. Buut not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Mibangon pulls Buut in to control the position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Buut postures up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Buut throws a wild body kick that Mibangon sees coming a mile off. And Mibangon counters with a quick kick to the body but Buut blocks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mibangon napping and manages to drive through into side control! Mibangon wants to control but Buut postures up. Buut wants to control but Mibangon is keeping him busy. I wouldn't like to be where Mibangon is right now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mibangon can't do much from the bottom here. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut fails with the takedown. Mibangon thinks about countering with a body kick. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walay Buut dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Buut throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mibangon's waist but Mibangon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Buut off to one side. Mibangon thinks about countering with a body kick. Mibangon slaps away a takedown attempt from Buut, before circling back to the center of the mat. Mibangon thinks about countering with a body kick. Mibangon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mibangon keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buut wants to control but Mibangon is keeping busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Buut is looking to improve his position.
Walay Buut has got the better of the ground game so far. Mibangon with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A slapping body kick lands there for Mibangon. Buut drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mibangon preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Buut slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Mibangon seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mibangon being controlled here, momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut wants to control from the top but Mibangon keeps moving. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Minatay Mibangon will probably get the nod. That's time! Mibangon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round! Mibangon is trying hard to land a takedown here. Buut sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Mibangon looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Mibangon stays in close to Buut's body and controls the position. Mibangon's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buut seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Mibangon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Buut keeping moving, preventing Mibangon from controlling successfully. Buut is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mibangon. Buut closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mibangon's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. More stalling from Buut. Buut with more of the same as he continues to hold on.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
And that's the end of the fight! Walay Buut comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Buut has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
