Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Higanti Libat (ranked 24037 p4p, 24409 weight class) and Wala Sapi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wala Sapi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Higanti Libat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wala Sapi!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Sapi looks for a takedown but Libat sprawls well.
Libat throws a quick counter kick to the body but Sapi avoids it.
Libat shoots in but no luck this time.
Libat fails to land the takedown.
Sapi feints a counter leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Libat stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Libat wants it to stay on the feet.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Sapi looking to score a takedown here. Libat is defending well but Sapi drives through and ends up in Libat's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Sapi throws a strike but Libat rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Libat shoots for a double leg takedown but Sapi sprawls well. He's pushed Libat's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Sapi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Sapi takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Libat is concentrating on defense, preventing Sapi from advancing position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Wala Sapi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Higanti Libat is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

I would just about give that final round to Wala Sapi.
Well Libat has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
