Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dim Mak (ranked 4469 p4p, 4210 weight class) and Jean Duranto (ranked 483 p4p, 463 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dim Mak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jean Duranto! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mak scores with a leg kick.
Mak shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Duranto as he avoids it easily. Mak throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Duranto. Duranto wants to clinch up but Mak keeps it at a distance. Mak lands with a kick to the temple. Duranto shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Mak tries to clinch but Duranto moves out of range. Mak tries to clinch but Duranto moves out of range. Mak fails to land the takedown. Duranto throws a solid leg kick but Mak takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Duranto. Duranto shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Duranto doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mak counters with a right hand to the body. Mak slaps away a takedown attempt from Duranto, before circling back to the center of the mat. Mak appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Dim Mak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jean Duranto. Duranto fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mak closes this distance looking for a takedown but Duranto circles away. Mak shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Duranto as he avoids it easily. Duranto moves in looking to clinch but Mak pushes him off. Duranto shoots in for a double leg but Mak sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Duranto shoots for a double leg takedown but Mak sprawls well. He's pushed Duranto's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. No luck with that takedown attempt from Mak. Mak throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Duranto's waist but Duranto gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mak off to one side. Mak is breathing heavily. Mak misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Mak lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duranto shoots in for a double leg but Mak sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Duranto instigates a clinch. Duranto lands a left hand.
Mak jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Duranto walks away with a smile on his face. Mak gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Duranto tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mak swivels and escapes. Duranto throws a head kick but Mak moves out of range.
Mak doesn't succeed with the takedown and Duranto counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mak thinking. Duranto shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Duranto throws a head kick but Mak moves out of range.
Duranto throws a one two combo.
Duranto closes the distance and clinches up with Mak, looking for a takedown. Duranto pushes Mak against the cage but Mak circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dim Mak. I think Mak has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
