Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Giacomo Bandolero (ranked 3583 p4p, 5261 weight class) and Middle Bear (ranked 324 p4p, 373 weight class). Bandolero's entrance music is Bandolero. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Giacomo Bandolero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Middle Bear! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Roberts and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bear closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Bear is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Bandolero is defending well. Bandolero throws a head punch that misses. Bear is working for takedown but Bandolero is calmly controlling the position for now. Bandolero gets control of Bear's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bandolero will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Bear wants to control from the top but Bandolero keeps moving. Bandolero is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Bear is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bandolero is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bear defends well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bear got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bandolero has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bear has managed to get both his arms back between Bandolero's legs - danger averted. Bear trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bandolero is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bandolero looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bandolero utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Bear drops back for a leg! Bandolero has his foot on Bear's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bear works his way back into a safe position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bear keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Bandolero's head. Bear slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Bandolero tries to bench press Bear off him but Bear keeps the position. Bear tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bear has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Bandolero tries to improve position but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bear creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Bandolero is trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bear is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bandolero has escaped the position, nice work there. Bandolero is trying to improve his position. Bear has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Bandolero defend it? Bear steps over the head and cranks it - Bandolero is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Bear!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Middle Bear! Middle Bear bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
