Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Pemberton (ranked 3672 p4p, 2742 weight class) and Gene Wonder (ranked 453 p4p, 375 weight class). Pemberton comes to the cage accompanied by Firestarter - Prodigy. The key to victory for Anthony Pemberton has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anthony Pemberton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gene Wonder! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pemberton falls off balance throwing a combination
and Wonder counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Pemberton! You can see the frustration on Pemberton's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Pemberton tries to buck Wonder off but Wonder is having none of it. Pemberton stops Wonder from passing to mount. Wonder wants to control but Pemberton is keeping him busy. Pemberton is looking to regain half guard here but Wonder keeps moving and retains side control. Pemberton manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pemberton is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Wonder pulls his head out easily. Pemberton wants to improve his position but Wonder is controlling well.

Wonder must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Pemberton avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Pemberton has his foot on Wonder's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wonder works his way back into a safe position though. We've been hearing good reports from Pemberton's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

That was a close round but I would say that Anthony Pemberton will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Pemberton throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A momentary lapse in concentration from Pemberton enables Wonder to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Pemberton manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Wonder with a nice head shot there. Pemberton keeping full guard, as Wonder tries to pass. Pemberton has his foot on Wonder's thigh. Gene Wonder showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Wonder feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown.
