Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony Pacucci! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rodrigo Palma! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Reed Andrews and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pacucci bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Palma connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Pacucci doesn't manage to clinch there - Palma circles away.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Palma! But no joy. Palma swinging wildly here.
Pacucci is looking to clinch. Pacucci wants to clinch up but Palma keeps it at a distance. Pacucci tries to clinch up but Palma circles away and keeps his distance. Pacucci slips a straight right by Palma. Palma jabbing away but nothing is landing. Pacucci wants to clinch up but Palma keeps it at a distance. Pacucci tries to clinch but Palma is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Palma throws a series of punches but Pacucci avoids them all with ease. Pacucci is looking to clinch but Palma is avoiding it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Palma throws a big shot that misses. Pacucci on the wrong end of a nice jab. Tony Pacucci seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pacucci tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Palma paws at him with a jab and circles away. Pacucci tries to clinch letting Palma counter with a right hand. Pacucci tries to clinch up but Palma circles away and keeps his distance. Pacucci tries to close the distance and clinch but Palma swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pacucci rushes Palma and presses him up against the cage. Palma has a couple of punches blocked by Pacucci.
Palma working some nice short punches in the clinch. Palma leaning his opponent against the cage. Pacucci pulls guard effortlessly. Palma controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Palma has gone for a leg lock! Pacucci slips out almost immediately though and dives into Palma's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pacucci landing with the ground and pound. Palma is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. This has been an exciting period of action! Pacucci works a leg free and moves into half guard. Pacucci moves into full mount! Palma won't be happy about that! Palma is wriggling around trying to escape.
Pacucci manages to capitalize on a mistake by Palma to take his back! Pacucci sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Palma taps out!
