Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jeryl Christ!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vastlin Greydorian!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Kavanagh and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christ rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Greydorian moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Christ pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Greydorian shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Christ pinned against the cage. Christ gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Christ throws a leg kick which misses Greydorian's front leg but catches the back leg as Greydorian tries to avoid it.
Christ keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Christ connects with an inside leg kick.
Greydorian takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Greydorian swings for the body but Christ moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Greydorian shoots and misses
and Christ counters with a nice uppercut.
Jeryl Christ has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vastlin Greydorian.
Greydorian takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Christ connects with a nice looking jab.
Greydorian is rocked!
Christ cracks Greydorian with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Greydorian is still on wobbly legs! Can Christ finish him?
Christ throws a series of punches but Greydorian moves out of range.
Greydorian doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Christ counters with a left and a right that stings Greydorian.
Greydorian's coach down at HELLsinki was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Greydorian's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Christ drops Greydorian with a naaaaasty hook - Greydorian is in real trouble here! Christ dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jeryl Christ!
After winning the bout, Jeryl Christ thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
