Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Polaris DoNn (ranked 3815 p4p, 4204 weight class) and Evan Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evan Smith is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Polaris DoNn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Evan Smith!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DoNn displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Smith.
DoNn throws a right hand that Smith ducks under and follows up with a left that Smith also avoids with ease.
Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. DoNn tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag DoNn to the ground. DoNn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and DoNn counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Polaris DoNn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Evan Smith.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Smith just misses with a elbow thrown towards DoNn's brow.
DoNn drops down looking for an ankle pick but Smith pulls his leg out and moves away.

Smith keeps control of DoNn as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Smith tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. DoNn smiles and moves away.

That's time! DoNn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Smith shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches DoNn napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

DoNn tries to lock up and control but Smith gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Smith sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Polaris DoNn.
I think DoNn has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
