Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nick Mullen (ranked 5552 p4p, 4539 weight class) and Ailin Trills (ranked 473 p4p, 438 weight class). Trills has chosen HonestKey- What My Life For as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Mullen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ailin Trills!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab by Trills.

Mullen has closed the distance and engaged Trills in a clinch.
Trills tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Mullen avoids it.

Trills wants to control but Mullen passes easily into half guard.
Mullen content to control rather than advance.
Trills avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Mullen.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Trills is trying to get back to full guard.

Mullen wants to free his trapped foot but Trills is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Trills felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Mullen lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Trills down.

Nick Mullen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Mullen is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Trills has escaped the position, nice work there.
Ailin Trills has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
A lull in the action here as Mullen stalls from top position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mullen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
