Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Usman Malik (ranked 3509 p4p, 5720 weight class) and Jon Jonhson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Usman Malik has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Usman Malik! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Jonhson! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jonhson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Malik takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Usman Malik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Malik shoots and misses and Jonhson counters with a nice uppercut. Jonhson throws a looping overhand right but Malik ducks down to avoid it. A head kick by Malik misses letting Jonhson counter with a right hand. Malik closes the distance but Jonhson moves to the side and Jonhson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Malik gets off balance looking for a body kick letting Jonhson counter with a right hand. Jonhson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Malik misses with a low kick. Jonhson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Malik shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Malik was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jonhson trying to remain calm as Malik controls from the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Malik tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Malik has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jonhson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Malik. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Malik is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Jonhson will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Jonhson is trying to get back to his feet. Malik decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jonhson to his feet. Malik shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jonhson is trying to defend but Malik finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Jonhson wants to stand back up but Malik manages to pass into side control.

That is not cool. Malik tries for a kimura but Jonhson is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Malik is pausing for a moment. Jonhson defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Malik controlling from mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Malik looking for a guillotine from mount but Jonhson is having none of it. Jonhson wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Malik really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Malik controlling from mount.

Malik cracks Jonhson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Usman Malik dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! A telegraphed right hand from Jonhson misses the target. Jonhson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Malik was well out of range. Poor timing from Jonhson. Jonhson misses with a hook. Usman Malik is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Malik gets a double leg takedown into Jonhson's guard. Malik passes Jonhson's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Malik is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jonhson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Malik.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Malik is looking for a kimura but Jonhson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Malik to get the leverage.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Malik gets the takedown into side control. Malik stands up. Malik shoots and misses and Jonhson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Jonhson looks to score with a jab to the body but Malik is just out of range. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. No luck for Malik with that takedown attempt. Malik scores with a crisp jab that stopped Jonhson in his tracks. Malik with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Jonhson to counter with a crisp jab. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Usman Malik. That's going to take a lot out of him. Malik throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Malik has his takedown stuffed and Jonhson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Usman Malik has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jonhson lands with a good body shot. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jonhson, as that shot connected.
Malik with a lazy takedown attempt and Jonhson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Jonhson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Malik takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Jon Jonhson seems to be getting the better of the standup. Malik blocks a jab. Jonhson darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Malik shoots for a double leg takedown but Jonhson sprawls well. He's pushed Malik's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Malik has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Malik there as he acknowledges the shot.
Malik is rocked! Jonhson drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Malik's head, knocking him out cold! Jonhson is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jon Jonhson! Jon Jonhson made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying '(4,35)'.
