Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Witse Beukes (ranked 3801 p4p, 4170 weight class) and Charles Keahi (ranked 159 p4p, 165 weight class). Keahi has chosen Unstoppable - Sia as his entrance music. Witse Beukes could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Charles Keahi's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Witse Beukes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Charles Keahi!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beukes tries to clinch up.
Keahi is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Keahi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Beukes has time to react.

It looks like Witse Beukes has been cut.
Keahi scores with a jab to the head.

Beukes moves into the clinch.
Beukes throws an elbow but it misses.

Keahi is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Beukes can't fight it off and eventually Keahi manages to take the fight to the floor. Beukes looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Keahi wants to control from the top but Beukes keeps moving.
Beukes wants to stand up but Keahi is controlling him.

Beukes pushes Keahi off and scrambles back to his feet.

Keahi rushes Beukes and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Keahi has Beukes pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Keahi pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Beukes tumbling to the mat - Keahi dives into Beukes's guard.
Keahi trying to control the position from guard on top but Beukes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Beukes wants to stand up but Keahi is controlling him.
Keahi tries to free his leg and advance position but Beukes is retaining full guard.

Keahi is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Beukes might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Keahi tries to pass to full mount but Beukes defends it.
Beukes is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Keahi scores with a couple of nice shots.
Keahi is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Beukes looks like he's trying to stand up.

Keahi wants to control but Beukes is keeping him busy.
Keahi is controlling the pace.
Keahi trying to control from half guard but Beukes is working away.
Keahi is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Beukes reverses the position - he's now on top in Keahi's guard.
Beukes has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Keahi is proving hard to escape from.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Keahi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Beukes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Beukes manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Beukes wants to get up but he can't break Keahi's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Keahi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Keahi is controlling the pace.
Beukes tries to kick Keahi off but Keahi keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Keahi lands with a punch from half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Charles Keahi dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Witse Beukes's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Beukes tries to clinch but Keahi moves out of range.
Beukes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Keahi swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Keahi closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Charles Keahi has got the better of the ground game so far.
Keahi working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Keahi has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Beukes trying desperately to get to his feet.
The referee warns Beukes that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Keahi scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Beukes?
Keahi won't let Beukes get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Keahi with good strikes from the mount here!
Beukes is squirming around, avoiding Keahi's attempts to control the action.
Keahi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Keahi unloading with bombs!
Keahi fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Witse Beukes's cut is getting worse.

Keahi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Keahi is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Beukes has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Beukes tries to buck Keahi off but he can't manage it.
Keahi scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Keahi trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Keahi lands a couple of good shots and Beukes has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Beukes is covering up but some of the strikes from Keahi are getting through and doing damage.

Witse Beukes's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Keahi scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Beukes covers up after that shot from Keahi.

Jeez, Witse Beukes's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Witse Beukes's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
