Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Cirianni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that John Evans has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily John Evans seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, John Evans! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Cirianni! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evans fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Evans tries to clinch but Cirianni moves out of range. Evans shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cirianni as he jumps to the side. Evans is looking to clinch but Cirianni is avoiding it.
Cirianni forces Evans back against the cage and clinches. Cirianni decides to pull guard. Evans postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Evans trying to control but Cirianni is working from the bottom. Cirianni lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Evans!
That's one minute gone in the round. Cirianni prevents Evans from getting the reversal. A nice elbow there by Cirianni. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cirianni cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Evans is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Evans is trying to escape the mount.
Cirianni stands up from mount. Strange move. Cirianni fails to land the takedown. The fight stays on the outside here - Cirianni looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Cirianni instigates a clinch. Cirianni throws a punch but it's blocked by Evans. Evans is trying to drag Cirianni to the mat but Cirianni just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Evans. That's going to take a lot out of him. Evans is trying to break the clinch but Cirianni has him pressed against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cirianni wants to get back to striking at distance but Evans won't allow it.

Cirianni tries to clinch but fails miserably and Evans counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Evans not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Evans missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Cirianni blocking the ground and pound attempt from Evans. Cirianni is refusing to be controlled, as Evans sits in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Evans stands up from half guard. Evans gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Evans thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Evans trying to keep a closed guard but Cirianni is proving a slippery customer.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cirianni decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Evans, up you get! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Cirianni dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Evans wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cirianni has him pressed against the cage. Cirianni works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Cirianni stands up from guard. Let's bang! John Evans is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Evans shoots in looking for a takedown. Cirianni tries to sprawl out of it but Evans keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cirianni manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Cirianni will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Evans tries to clinch but Cirianni moves out of range. Evans tries to grapple but his opponent circles enabling Cirianni to counter with a crisp jab. Evans moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cirianni tries to close the distance and clinch but Evans swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Cirianni has closed the distance and engaged Evans in a clinch.
Evans pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Evans moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Cirianni is looking to clinch. Evans has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cirianni tries to score a body lock takedown but Evans shows good agility there to stay on his feet. John Evans has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Cirianni. Evans's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cirianni fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Cirianni is breathing heavily. Evans closes the distance and pushes Cirianni back into the cage. Evans has clasped his hands together around Cirianni's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Evans is chipping away with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Evans scores with punches from side control. Cirianni tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Evans lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cirianni manages to regain half guard. Good work. Evans sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Cirianni defending well though. Evans gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Evans wants to clinch but Cirianni slips to the side and Cirianni moves into the clinch. Cirianni's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cirianni misses with a takedown attempt and Evans counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Evans tries to clinch up and Cirianni counters with a nice double leg into guard. Cirianni gets to his feet - Evans follows without any prompting. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Evans looks to land a combination. Cirianni sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cirianni. Evans wants to clinch and Cirianni counters with a takedown into side control. Evans sneaks out the side door and pushes Cirianni away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Evans tries a head kick but it misses.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Evans lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Evans. Cirianni tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Evans counters with a shoot takedown. Cirianni fights it but they end up in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Horrible takedown by Cirianni or perhaps it was just good defense by Evans which made him look bad. Cirianni takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Evans fails with the takedown and Cirianni counters with a shoot takedown. Evans fights it but they end up in guard. Cirianni gets to his feet. Evans looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cirianni pushes Evans up against the cage in a clinch. Cirianni wants to break free but Evans has control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Cirianni escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Evans looks to clinch and Cirianni decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Evans's guard. Evans kicks Cirianni off and gets to his feet. Evans fails with an attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cirianni looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Evans looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Cirianni is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Evans stands up from guard. Let's bang! John Evans is winning the standup battle so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cirianni clinches. Evans drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Cirianni gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Cirianni throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Cirianni jumps guard and drags Evans to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Evans throws a big right hand that misses. Cirianni manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Cirianni with a couple of short strikes. Evans has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cirianni lands with some strikes. Cirianni looking to secure an arm triangle but Evans defends it well.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Cirianni comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Cirianni has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
