Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Triston Baal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timmeh Sblia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Timmeh Sblia!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baal scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


Sblia is rocked!


It looks like Timmeh Sblia has been cut.

Baal looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Sblia has momentary wrist control but Baal slips an elbow through the middle.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Baal accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Sblia wants to sweep here but Baal controlling him for the moment.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Baal shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sblia's guard.

Baal looking to sit in guard and control but Sblia gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Sblia would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Sblia decides to stand up, so the ref orders Baal to his feet.

Sblia punishes Baal's body with a nice straight punch.
Sblia lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Sblia lands a nice leg kick that just misses Baal's sensitive parts.
Baal stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Sblia.
Baal steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Sblia. That one must have hurt.
Sblia lands a nice looking body shot.
Sblia throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nice takedown defense from Sblia. No joy for Baal on that attempt.

Baal clinches up with Sblia and pushes him back against the cage.
Baal works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Baal content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Sblia gets underhooks to prevent Baal's takedown attempt.
Sblia wants to break free but Baal has control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sblia has had enough of the clinch but Baal keeps him there for the moment.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Baal.
Baal throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Sblias head.

Baal breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Sblia throws a looping overhand right but Baal ducks down to avoid it.

Baal shoots in for a double leg but Sblia sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Sblia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Baal. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Baal postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Sblia looks a forlorn figure.

Baal is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Sblia has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Sblia!

Baal is trying to control but can't.

Sblia perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Baal wants to control but Sblia is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Baal trying to get back to full guard but Sblia takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Sblia takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Triston Baal overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sblia controlling the position easily from mount.
Sblia avoids the attempt from Baal to control.
Sblia tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Despite being in the dominant position, Timmeh Sblia just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sblia stuffs the takedown attempt from Baal. Baal gets slowly back to his feet.
Sblia cracks Baal with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Baal shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sblia as he avoids it easily.

Baal seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sblia does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

No joy there for Sblia, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Sblia fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Baal.

Sblia throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Timmeh Sblia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sblia tries to keep at a distance but Baal has taken the fight into the clinch.
Baal lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Baal stalls.
Baal lands a left hand that snaps the head of Sblia backwards.
Baal lands a shoulder strike.
Baal lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Sblia to his knees! Baal keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Triston Baal!
