Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Polaris DoNn (ranked 3639 p4p, 5274 weight class) and Joe D Amato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Polaris DoNn looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Polaris DoNn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe D Amato!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DoNn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts D Amato as he jumps to the side.
A leg kick checked by DoNn.
DoNn feints and as D Amato raises his hands in defense, DoNn changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
D Amato is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
D Amato throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
D Amato pulls DoNn in close to his closed guard and prevents DoNn from doing any damage or advancing position.
DoNn got a little sloppy there for a moment and D Amato has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, DoNn has managed to get both his arms back between D Amato's legs - danger averted.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

D Amato wants to sweep but no luck.
D Amato is pulling down on DoNn's head. It's preventing any offense from DoNn, at least for the moment.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

DoNn lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on DoNn's face as he tries to break the clinch.
DoNn looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
D Amato has DoNn pressed against the cage, preventing DoNn from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
D Amato has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed DoNn clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

DoNn looking very determined here, making life difficult for D Amato.
You can see the frustration on DoNn's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

D Amato gets his hands free as DoNn looks to control.

DoNn tries to escape but D Amato has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
D Amato trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
D Amato might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control DoNn haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

D Amato really doesn't want to stay on the ground with DoNn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
DoNn rushes D Amato and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
DoNn keeps the fight in the clinch, despite D Amato's efforts to push away.
D Amato has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. DoNn is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

and D Amato counters with a two punch combo.
DoNn shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
D Amato shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. DoNn defends it nicely.
Polaris DoNn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe D Amato.

D Amato tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

D Amato tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. DoNn just stands there and leans against the cage.

DoNn pushes off an throws an elbow but D Amato leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

D Amato gets control of DoNn's arms and successfully pulls guard. D Amato will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
DoNn is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

DoNn kicks D Amato off and gets to his feet.
D Amato throws a right hand that DoNn ducks under and follows up with a left that DoNn also avoids with ease.
DoNn looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
DoNn takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
DoNn moves into range and clinches up with D Amato.
DoNn tries to break the clinch but D Amato is controlling the position.
D Amato can't get the takedown.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Joe D Amato showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

D Amato keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
DoNn fails with a takedown attempt.

D Amato blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
D Amato has DoNn pushed against the cage.
D Amato is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. DoNn can't fight it off and eventually D Amato manages to take the fight to the floor. DoNn looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

DoNn is looking for a triangle but D Amato pushes his legs off easily.

D Amato stands up and we're back to a striking position.
D Amato will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
D Amato goes for a double leg but DoNn avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as DoNn continues to drive forward.
D Amato closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

DoNn throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
D Amato throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Polaris DoNn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe D Amato.
DoNn closes the distance and clinches up with D Amato, looking for a takedown. DoNn pushes D Amato against the cage but D Amato circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

DoNn tries to clinch there but D Amato circles away.
DoNn tries to close the distance and clinch but D Amato swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
DoNn shoots in looking for a takedown but D Amato manages to keep the fight standing, pushing DoNn's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

DoNn appears to be looking for a big counter.
D Amato shoots in and bounces DoNn off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
DoNn is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. D Amato presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Joe D Amato comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well D Amato has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
