Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Kausch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Zulas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryan Kausch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charles Zulas!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jorge Garcia and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zulas scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Kausch misses with the combination.

Kausch feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Kausch trying to control but Zulas is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kausch pushing down on Zulas's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Kausch seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Kausch trying to control the action but Zulas is working from the bottom.

Kausch uses his free foot to push down on Zulas's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Zulas.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kausch trying to control but Zulas is having none of it.
Zulas holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Kausch tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Kausch avoids the attempt from Zulas to control.
Zulas might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kausch kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Zulas can't escape the position.
Kausch throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Zulas is working to get back to half guard.
Zulas is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kausch controlling from the full mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryan Kausch dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Zulas shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kausch misses with a takedown attempt
and Zulas counters with a head kick.
Kausch has his takedown stuffed

and Zulas counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kausch!

Zulas stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

and Zulas counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kausch's guard now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Kausch. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Zulas slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Zulas in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Kausch is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Zulas off and has taken his back!
Zulas controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Kausch is trying to stick to Zulas's back but Zulas is turning into Kausch. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kausch's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Zulas.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Zulas is looking to take a break and control but Kausch is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Kausch looking for subs from the bottom but Zulas mounts him!

Zulas looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Zulas lands a big elbow.

Kausch is trying to escape the mount.

Kausch is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Zulas locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Kausch is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Charles Zulas!
