Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robbie Porter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Stifler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Robbie Porter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Stifler!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Porter tries to clinch up.

Stifler gets the takedown into side control.
Porter sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Stifler wants to pass the guard but Porter is defending well.
Porter wants to control but Stifler is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Porter looks like he's trying to stand up.
Stifler stalling.
Porter is trying is best to control the position here.
Stifler wants to take a breather but Porter is having none of it.
Stifler tries to pass the half guard into mount. Porter knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Stifler sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Stifler trying to control from half guard but Porter is working away.
Stifler thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Stifler closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Porter tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Porter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stifler on the ground.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Porter is working hard here to advance position.
Stifler trying to control the action but Porter is working from the bottom.
Porter manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Porter not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Porter passes to side control.

Porter decides to stand back up.

Stifler drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Stifler looks gassed!
Porter is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Porter uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Stifler keeps the fight on the outside.
Porter lands a nice leg kick that just misses Stifler's sensitive parts.
Stifler scores with a head kick.
Porter tries to clinch up but Stifler circles away and keeps his distance.
Porter tries for a takedown but Stifler circles away easily

and Stifler counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Porter wants to control but Stifler is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Porter tries to roll over but Stifler keeps him under control.
Porter trying to hold on to Stifler's head to control him but Stifler postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Porter makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Porter lands a jab-cross combination.
Robbie Porter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Porter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Stifler takes a kick to the side of the head.
Porter fails with a takedown attempt.
Stifler is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Porter.
Porter shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Stifler counters by moving into the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robbie Porter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Porter manages to break the clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Stifler. No joy for Porter on that attempt.
Porter misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Steve Stifler will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Porter clinches up with Stifler and pushes him back against the cage.
Stifler stalling in the clinch but Porter improves position.

Porter jumps guard.
Stifler slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Let's hope that Stifler has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Stifler trying to control but Porter is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stifler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Porter swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Stifler is breathing heavily.
Porter looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Stifler puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Porter kicks off Stifler and gets to his feet.
Porter throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
No luck for Stifler with that takedown attempt.
Porter misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Porter moves into range and clinches up with Stifler.
Porter drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Porter gets through Stifler's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Stifler has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Porter is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Stifler tries to pull guard but Porter holds him up against the cage and eventually Stifler drops back down to his feet.
Robbie Porter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Stifler.
Porter goes for a takedown in the clinch but Stifler prevents it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Porter pulls guard.
Porter controls Stifler momentarily but Stifler frees himself.
Porter keeping moving, preventing Stifler from controlling successfully.
Porter looking for a sweep. Not yet Porter, not yet.

Porter is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Stifler stops Porter from standing up.

Porter is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Stifler has his hands clasped together but Porter extends an breaks Stifler's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Porter.
